Arhar Ki Daal
Ingredients
Arhar ki daal ½ kg
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder 1 ½ tbsp
Turmeric ¼ tbsp
Green chilies 4-5
Tamarind (imli) ½ cup or to taste (soaked in water half
an hour before)
Onion sliced 1 small size
Method:
1. Rinse
daal and place it in a pan, add 2-3 cups of water.
2. Now
add all the spices salt, red chili powder, and turmeric.
3. Bring
it to a boil and let it cook and do add water if the water is dried out.
4. Cook
until the daal is fully cooked and mashed.
5. Now
add green chili cut into half and cook.
6. Then
add the tamarind pulp in daal cook for about 10 – 15 minutes more.
7. Then take pan heat oil and add sliced onion,
cook until golden brown.
8. Then
add this (Bhagar) mixture on to daal.
9. Serve
hot with Rice or Roti.
